New Offering: Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)

SPA is proud to announce the launch of our SPACE program

SPACE is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related problems. Parents who participate in SPACE are provided with tools and strategies to help their child overcome anxiety. Specifically, parents are taught ways to respond more supportively to their child and reduce accommodations to their child’s anxiety.

SPACE was developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz at the Yale Child Study Center and has been empirically tested and found to be efficacious in randomized controlled trials.

Some of the anxiety disorders that can be treated with SPACE include:

  • OCD

  • separation anxiety

  • social anxiety

  • fears and phobias

  • generalized anxiety

  • panic disorder and agoraphobia

  • selective mutism

SPACE can be offered in an individual or group format. If you have questions about SPACE or would like to participate, please reach out to us at (315) 217-6888 extension 1 or use our intake form below:
