I am very pleased to join Skaneateles Psychology Associates and begin helping patients. Whether you’re struggling with life, relationships, creative pursuits, coming to terms with your past, or just want to get to know yourself better, I believe that having a space to express and understand one’s self is essential. Talk therapy is a great way to address problems and begin taking steps towards living a more truthful and productive life. I recognize that seeking therapy requires courage, and it is with respect, curiosity, and dedication that I approach this important work.

I have helped many adults, young adults, and college students work through life's challenges, find meaning in their experience, and develop a sense of inner freedom. This includes people dealing with many issues, including: depression and anxiety, addiction, relationship problems, family issues, work stress, issues of identity, and life transitions.

My style is collaborative and empathic, and together we can develop new understandings of your past and present, overcome emotional roadblocks, improve relationships, and confidently meet life's challenges. With patience and curiosity, we can find ways to realize your potential.

If you are interested in therapy, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Online Therapy

In response to Covid-19 (Coronavirus), Skaneateles Psychology Associates has launched Telehealth sessions to offer a safer way to see your provider from the comfort of your own home during these difficult times. Our therapists are licensed to provide services to residents of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Skaneateles Psychology Associates features a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform for online therapy sessions that is fully integrated into your patient portal. Our providers offer the full array of personalized, effective, and evidence-based behavioral health services that are available in-person through telehealth.  You can receive access to your provider from any device that connects to the internet.

Our therapists are licensed to provide services to residents of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

ONLINE THERAPY FAQ:

1. WHAT IS AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT LIKE?

An online appointment is just like a regular appointment. You sit in front of the camera on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) where you will be able to see yourself and your SPA provider. Once you have started your appointment, patients and providers will interact, just as they would for a traditional office appointment.

2. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. HOW DO I PREPARE?

Make sure to check your internet connection 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You log into your patient portal and be sure you are ready to click on the link to access the session.

3. ARE ONLINE SESSIONS COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Most insurers currently cover online visits in the same way they would cover in-person visits.  Check with your insurer to inquire about your individual coverage.

4.  ARE THE APPOINTMENTS PRIVATE AND SECURE?

At SPA, patient privacy and protection is our top priority. Just like a visit to the office to see your provider, online services are entirely confidential and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

5.  WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT ABLE TO CONNECT?

As a result of the pandemic situation we are experiencing and the increased demand for online services occasionally our HIPAA compliant telehealth servers are overloaded.  State and federal regulations have been broadened during this time so that we are permitted to utilize other servers as a backup if necessary.
