ONLINE THERAPY FAQ:

1. WHAT IS AN ONLINE APPOINTMENT LIKE?

An online appointment is just like a regular appointment. You sit in front of the camera on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) where you will be able to see yourself and your SPA provider. Once you have started your appointment, patients and providers will interact, just as they would for a traditional office appointment.

2. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. HOW DO I PREPARE?

Make sure to check your internet connection 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment. You log into your client portal and be sure you are ready to click on the link to access the session.

3. ARE ONLINE SESSIONS COVERED BY INSURANCE?

Most insurers currently cover online visits in the same way they would cover in-person visits.  Check with your insurer to inquire about your individual coverage.

4.  ARE THE APPOINTMENTS PRIVATE AND SECURE?

At SPA, patient privacy and protection is our top priority. Just like a visit to the office to see your provider, online services are entirely confidential and compliant with HIPAA regulations.

5.  WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT ABLE TO CONNECT?

As a result of the pandemic situation we are experiencing and the increased demand for online services occasionally our HIPAA compliant telehealth servers are overloaded.  State and federal regulations have been broadened during this time so that we are permitted to utilize other servers as a backup if necessary.
